Myths and legends have long presented a culture’s values through the promotion of its heroes. Many of these traditional stories continue to be retold today, repurposed for modern telling through modern media. But due to changes in our cultural values, are the original heroes still relevant to a modern audience? While we preserve the stories, our culture may be creating quite different heroes in order to address different cultural needs. This blog will examine these heroes, past and present, and what modern heroes have to say about what inspires us in our day-to-day lives.
